William Edward Green

William, affectionately called "Bink" by his friends and family, passed away on January 25th, 2021, due to complications from ALS. He was 60 years old. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on February 7th, 1960, Bink grew up in the suburb of Mountain Brook with his parents and two brothers, Paul and Joe. He attended schools in Mountain Brook until graduating from Mountain Brook High School in 1978. Bink was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church, making friendships and memories with a youth group there that he would cherish for the rest of his life. He attended Auburn University, graduating in March 1983, with a degree in civil engineering. After meeting the love of his life in college a few years earlier, Bink married Stacy Ann Cook on June 16th, 1984.

While Bink worked different jobs over the years, the majority of his working years were spent as a salesman for the American Cast Iron Pipe (ACIPCO). Bink enjoyed working for ACIPCO for 24 years because he valued the quality and integrity of the company. During that time, many coworkers and customers came to know Bink as a friend due to his outgoing personality and his habit of developing close relationships with his others.

Bink's job at ACIPCO brought him to Dallas, Texas. Since 2000 Bink lived there with his wife and three children.

Bink was preceded in death by his parents, Paul W Green and Marianna Parsons Green and, brother Joe Green. He is survived by his wife, Stacy, and three children, Morgan, Jordan, and Trey, along with his brother Paul (Karen) Green.

He was known by his family and friends as having a witty yet humble sense of humor and cherishing his relationships with others. Family, friends, coworkers, and customers will remember Bink as a person who genuinely cared about others.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 4th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Southern Heritage Funeral Home; 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. The Funeral will be on Friday; February 5th, at 2 p.m., at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church; 5514 Double Oak Lane, Birmingham, AL 35242
