William Patrick Jones, 58, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025. He was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri on August 7, 1967. He graduated from Daleville High School before earning his Associates Degree from Marion Military Institute.
William was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in active duty with Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf in the early 1990s. After his honorable discharge from the military, he served for several years with the Montgomery, Alabama Police Department. At the time of his death, he was employed as a truck driver with Estes Express Lines. In his leisure, he enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle, and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football.
William was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Fox, and his father, William Frederick Jones. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Jones, to whom he was married on March 21, 1988; two children, William Trevor Jones and Madison Taylor Jones; and one sister, Kimberly Spalsbury.
The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. A special time of sharing memories of William will begin at 6 p.m. at the visitation.
