MATHIESON, WILLIAM "FORBES," 75, loving father, brother, son, and friend, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012. He was born and raised in Farmington Hills, Michigan, lived much of his life in the Orlando, Florida area, and lived his final year near his daughter and family in Birmingham, Alabama. Forbes was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Mathieson, and his mother, Isabell Mathieson. Survivors include sons, Michael Mathieson and Christopher Mathieson; daughter, Carolyn Bedford; sister, June Plastow (brother- in-law Jim Plastow); brother, Alex Mathieson (sister-in-law Lani Mathieson); grandson, Reif Bedford; granddaughters, Myka Mathieson and Pepper Bedford; nieces, Bethany Gatto, Christa Larsen, and Olivia Larsen; nephew, Zachary Plastow; and best friends, Rick Larsen and Kari Larsen. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. CST on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover, Alabama. The Mass of Celebration will immediately follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church's sanctuary. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham, Alabama.
