

Visitation will be at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Cropwell on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Dr. Tommy Turner will be officiating, and Kilgroe Funeral Home will be directing. Pallbearers are Chase Hunter, Cole Hunter, Mitch Splawn, Hugh Lee, Grant Lee, and Patrick Shirley.
Mr. Lee was born on November 18, 1944, in Cropwell, the son of Lawrence Felix Lee and Velma Foote Lee. He was a 1963 graduate of Pell City High School and served his country during the Vietnam War at Eglin Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field, near Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He retired from the Civil Service at the Anniston Army Depot in 2005 and was the owner of Diamond L Farms. He was also appointed to multiple terms on the New London Water Authority Board, serving as its chairman during a portion of that time. For many years he belonged to the St. Clair County Cattlemen's Association and served as a past board member. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pell City. He will be remembered for his quick wit and deep love for his family.
Mr. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Felix Lee and Velma Foote Lee; three brothers, Robert Hugh Lee, Lawrence Rudolph Lee, and Jerry Henry Lee; and two sisters, Billie Ann Splawn and Viola Marie Hunter. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diane Braden Lee; sons Eric Curtis (Joy) Lee and Brandon Heath (Kayla) Lee; and four grandchildren, Savannah Blair Lee, Addisyn Kate Lee, Meredith Darcy Lee, and Lawrence Porter Lee.
