

Corey was preceded in death by his parents, Otis “Sonny” Moore and Charlie Fay Moore; and his sister, Sunny Fay Moore.
Corey is survived by his wife, Kathy Burke; and sons, Judd Moore and Will Moore.
Corey was a graduate of the University of Montevallo and Jones School of Law. After a short solo career, Corey joined in and practiced law for over 10 years alongside John Galese whom he credits for solidifying the establishment of his career. Corey later partnered with Bill Weathington and Jim HIll in Moody, Alabama where he practiced for over 20 years. On February 25, 2014, Governor Bentley appointed Corey as a Shelby County Circuit Judge where he served for over 8 years before retiring.
Corey was an accomplished lawyer and respected as a fair and conscientious judge. Corey loved and was most proud of his children, Judd and Will. He had recently become a first-time grandfather to baby Sonny Brent Moore, born on November 11, 2024.
Corey was an avid enthusiast of motorcycles. Over his lifetime, he had acquired an impressive collection of bikes including Bridgestones, Indians and Harley Davidsons.
Corey enjoyed a successful career and has established many friendships along the way over the years. Corey was loved by many for his genuine friendship and his social spirit. He was dearly loved by his family, friends and colleagues and will be greatly missed by all.
