He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Doris Bennefield; children, Danny Bennefield Jr, Michael Gallups, Mark Gallups, and Rita Donahoo; grandchildren, Luke Bennefield, Maddie Donahoo, Michael Donahoo, Ryan Donahoo, Taylor Gallups, David Keene and Mike Smith; great grandchildren, Kylee and David Keene; brother, Ted Bennefield; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sons, Michael Bennefield and Charlie (Donna) Bennefield; son-in-law, Mike Donahoo and parents.
Mr. Bennefield was an avid fisherman, Alabama football, and Nascar fan.
A visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home on Saturday, December 28, beginning at 12:00pm with a service to follow in the chapel at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest at New Hope Cemetery.
