PELL CITY - On Wednesday December 23, 2020, our beloved David W. Clark (Grandy) passed from this earth and went to heaven to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ. Grandy was born on May 24, 1933. To know Grandy was to love him, and to be around him was to feel loved by him. Love was a defining characteristic of Grandy. He married his bride in 1955 and over their 63 years of marriage their love only deepened and grew. He showed his love to his family through his dedicated prayer life and by opening his home to every grandchild, great-grandchild and friend who would come. Grandy never met a stranger and would happily share Jesus and his many life lessons and wisdom to all. His earthly accomplishments were many, but at the end of life, all that mattered to Grandy was knowing his sins were forgiven and that he has eternal life with his Savior. Eternal life can only be obtained by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. We rejoice that he now gets to stand in the presence of the Lord wrapped in the arms of the one who loves him.
His favorite saying captures his heart best: “I love you, Jesus loves you, and that’s the way it’s going to be”
He is preceded in death by his wife Gingie Clark and his granddaughter Mary Christen Walker.
He is survived by his three children, Dorsey (Chris) Ochoa, Paula (Steve) Klein, Ginnie Beth (Paul) Robinsons; his 17 Grandchildren, Gincie (Bill) Upton, Jason (Rachel) Walker, Anna Joy (Jacob) Snuggs, Houston (Virginia) Walker, Rebekah (Jonathan) White, Sarah Jane (Josh) Tolman, Jordan (Philip) Agee, Aaron (Annalise) Walker, Will Walker, Craig Walker, Gabriella Ochoa, Andrew Ochoa, Elizabeth McKinley, David Klein, Julia (Will) Harrell, Sawyer (Sarah Beth) Klein, and Jacob Robinson; and 19 Great-Grandchildren, Breelynne, Polly, and Billings Upton, Cohen, Nolan, and Finley Walker, Nora, Zeke, and Joy Snuggs, Silas and Levi White, Benjamin Tolman, David and Carter Walker, Brewer and David McKinley, Holton and Wells Harrell.
There will be a funeral at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City Alabama on Monday Dec 28, 2020 at 2:00pm, with a graveside service to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Pell City.
