James is survived by his son, Jason Roberts (Stacy); his sister, Edith Marie Sitz, and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Jethro James and Lillie May Roberts; siblings, Opel Leigh Roberts, Jewal Vadean Watkins, Floyd (Bobby) Dean Roberts, and Bobby (Bill) Birdsong Roberts.
A memorial service will be Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Col. L Howard Veterans Home. Burial will be at Alabama National Cemetery on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 11:00 am.
