
Kathy worked in the Medical Records field for nearly 20 years and later with Meals on Wheels. She loved the beach and lake life, cherished holidays, and cheered passionately for Auburn football. Kathy treasured memories of her younger years growing up at Holiday Marina in Pell City, which her parents owned and operated. And later in life, sharing multiple joyful years with her husband David in Pensacola, FL. One of her proudest memories was her time as a Pell City Panther majorette, where she truly shined. Known for her kind heart, sharp wit, spirited personality, and love of Elvis Presley, Kathy was deeply devoted to her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, David Chivers; children, Heather Sams and Chris Sams; her bonus children, Julie Chivers and Tracy Chivers-Hurst; sons-in-law, Josh Bruce and Daymon Hurst; grandchildren, Justin Rainwater, Dylon Hurst, and Kaitlyn Hurst; great grandchild, Baylee Hurst; and her sister, Lynn Livesey. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kathy Jo Chivers was an impeccable mother, a loving wife, and an extraordinary person. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
