Norma Faye Alverson Callahan

PELL CITY – Funeral Service for Norma Faye Alverson Callahan, age 90, will be Wednesday, March 29 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Callahan passed away Monday, March 27, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, D.L.”Buddy” Callahan; her parents, E. Reid Alverson & Eva Milton; daughter, Donna Black; brother, Sherley Alverson, and sister, Kathryn Johnson.

She is survived by son, Walter Callahan; daughter, Sheila Callahan Lee; grandchildren, Alex Callahan, Shelly (Jeff) Champion, Jackie T. (Deanna) Lee, Jr., Candi (Ladd) Essman; 7 great-grandchildren, Breanna Champion, Kayla (Essman) Osborne, Ryan Callahan, Chelsey (Essman) Young, J.T. Lee III, Caleb Champion,

Joseph Lee; great-great-granddaughter, Kinley Ava Griggs; brother, James “Jimmy” Milton; sisters, Joan McMillian and Shirley Mahan.
