Ruth M Bush

Mrs. Ruth was a charter member of Victory Christian Church. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in education. After Mrs. Bush retired from teaching at Iola Elementary School, she became a teacher at Victory Christian School. She loved traveling, living on Logan Martin Lake, taking the boat out with her husband, T Roy. She wanted her family to enjoy the lake like she did.

Mrs. Ruth is survived by her sons, Harry Bush (Ava) and Tom Bush; grandchildren, Sheree McCall (Arnie), Brandon Bush, Alisha Chavez (Tony), Malia Yates (Zachary), Eli Vaughan (Summer), and Emily Doty (Nick); a host of great grandchildren; and two sisters, Sallie Hall (Jim) and Jane Hall (Bancroft).

Mrs. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, T. Roy Bush; daughter, Sallie Vaughan; son, Russell Bush; daughter in law, Kim Bush; and parents, Harry Eugene and Ruth Edmondson Marshall.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00am from Victory Christian Church. Burial to follow at Valley Hill Memorial Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, family ask that donations can be made to the Victory Christian Building Fund.
