He is survived by his daughters, Dana Ellison (Lance) and Karen Templeton (Doug); son, Richard Cason (Bobbie); grandchildren, Brannon Mathis (Brooke), Cason Nixon, Emily Barnes (Will), Alex Sims, Alan Harper, Kara Harris (Calvin), Richey Cason, and Victoria Burton (Kris); brother, Buddy Cason; and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Verne and Adelaide Cason; and sister, Margaret Cason-Wiswell.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Kilgroe Funeral Home (Pell City) beginning at 10:00am with a chapel service to follow at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale, AL.
