Dale S. Andersen

Dale was born in Penn Yan, NY on April 9th, 1946, the son of the late Glenn and Rebecca (Moody) Andersen. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1964 and had attended Mansfield University in Pennsylvania and Berkley School of Music in Boston, MA. He worked for Goulds Pump in Seneca Falls for over 30 years before retiring. He had a love for music and played the keyboard for many area local country and rock bands. He was an avid sports fan and a dedicated New York Yankees and Boston Celtics fan. He enjoyed fishing and pets.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Christine (Watters) Andersen; his sons, James (Amy) and Jeremy (Katy); his grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Connor; brother, David Andersen; his beloved aunt, Dr. Florence “Betty” Moody; his cousin, Ron Ratcliffe; and nieces, Karla, Beth and Elise.

A private memorial service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan, NY at the convenience of his family. Memorial donations may be made in Dale’s memory to the Humane Society of Yates County, 1216 State Rte 14A, PO Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
