Patsy Alena Garcia

Patsy Alena Garcia, 45, formerly of Penn Yan, passed away unexpectedly with her boyfriend, Pedro Resendiz, on September 19, 2012.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 9:00-11:00am at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, on the corner of 5&20 and Number Nine Rd., Geneva, NY. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00am. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made in Patsy’s name to Ontario County Humane Society, Happy Tails Animal Shelter, 2976 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

Patsy was born on March 8, 1967 in Penn Yan, NY to Kenneth Lafler & Barbara Eldred Galdeano. She recently worked at Wal-Mart in Waterloo, making employee of the month. She had also worked for Guardian Glass, Seneca Foods as well as Silgan Plastics. Patsy loved to play bingo, dance, bowl, laughing her contagious laugh, cook, help others, but most of all; love and care for her two granddaughters that meant the world to her.

She is survived by her children; Autumn (Vicente) Velazquez, Kristopher Hurlburt, Nicholas Hurlburt; granddaughters, Analilia & Rose Velazquez; mother, Barbara Galdeano; father, Kenneth Lafler; siblings, Kenneth (Wendy) Lafler Jr., Shawn (Bill) Whiting, Betty Jo (Leroy) Slack, Sandra (Michael) Washington, Antonia Lerch, Liliana (James) Wallace; many nieces & nephews. Patsy was predeceased by her great grandmother Joanna Houghtaling and her stepdad Antonio Galdeano.
