Richard A. Alderman, 71, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 25, 2014.
Dick, known to many as “Nummy”, was born on February 11, 1943 in Penn Yan. He was a lifelong resident, and a proud veteran of the United States Army, 82nd Airborne.
Dick is survived by his wife, Bette, his daughter, Lisa (Dave) Hartman, 3 grandchildren: Katy Worden, Nick and Justin Alderman, step-children Stephanie Smolos and Annette (Derek) Nielsen, and cousin Sandra Miles (Harvey). He was predeceased by his son Jason, and his mother, Helen Baxter.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Penn Yan American Legion on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 12:00-4:00, with service and military honors beginning at 12:00.
