Rosemary E. Wheeler

Rosemary E. Wheeler, 83, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at The Homestead.

Friends & Family are invited to call at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Rosemary’s service will take place at the funeral home at 12:00pm.

Rosemary was born on August 7, 1929 in Penn Yan, NY to the late John & Marion Prosser Hoban. She was a loving Wife, Mother and friend to all that knew her. Prior to retiring along with Stan to their hometown of Penn Yan, Rosemary lived for more than 30 years in Oakland, NJ and was very active in her community as a member of the Oakland First Aid Squad. Upon returning to Penn Yan, Rosemary was active in many organizations including Meals on Wheels, Children’s Reading Programs and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Words cannot describe what an amazing woman she was and her impact on all that knew her will last forever.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Wheeler; sons Steven, Michael and Randy; brother John Hoban and son in law Pat Chapman. Rosemary was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Cindy Chapman of Penn Yan, NY.
