Stephen R. Hulse

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 18th from 4:00-6:00pm at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY. Stephen’s funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stephen’s name to St. Michael’s School, 214 Keuka St., Penn Yan, NY 14527 or Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home, 655 N. Liberty St., Penn Yan, NY 14527.

Stephen was born on January 13, 1947 in Penn Yan, NY to the late William & Sarah (Booth) Hulse. He was in the US Air Force from 1966-69. Stephen worked for Penn Yan Express, being a 30 year Teamster, retiring so he could live out his lifelong dream of being a farmer. He had also worked at Dudley Poultry, was on the Town of Jerusalem Board and was a vineyardist.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lynn West Hulse whom he married on July 1, 1967; sons, Jeffrey (Karen), Mark (Heather), Matthew; granddaughter, Sydney; sister, Kathleen (John) Rick; brothers, David and Richard (Joyce); several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by his grandson, Collin.
