Dr. Susan K. Shumaker, age 63, of Branchport, New York passed away on Wednesday June 13, 2018. Susan was born June 29, 1954 to Dorothy Stockwell and Raymond Waite. She served in the US Army from 1972 to 1974. She received her Veterinarian Degree from Iowa State University and worked for many years as a meat and poultry inspector for the USDA in Maine. Susan married her husband, Masuo Doi on December 29th, 1989.
Susan is survived by her husband of 28 years, Masuo Doi; daughters, Rose Doi, April Doi and Emily Doi; mother, Dorothy Stockwell; father, Raymond Waite; and sisters, Mary Ellen Waite and Nancy Waite.
Calling hours for Susan will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Townsend Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 East Elm Street, Penn Yan, New York 14527. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Branchport Cemetery, Branchport, New York.
