Agnes Katherine Clark

1919-2013

Agnes Katherine Crawford Clark of Pensacola, Florida peacefully went to be with the Lord Jesus on December 9, 2013. "To Know Her Was To Love Her". She was born October 1, 1919 in Ten Mile, MS to the late John Dewey Crawford and Edna Earl Lindsey Crawford. Agnes was a long-time member of Friendship Baptist Church then joined The First United Methodist Church of Pace, FL. Agnes lived a full and loving life as a mother and home maker. She seldom sat still and when she did she was knitting or crocheting. All that knew her loved her and thought very fondly of her. We celebrate her life, rejoice in her salvation and find comfort in the love she leaves behind; and, these, her words, "Just because they're not around, doesn't mean you don't still love them."

Agnes is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Marion Dewey Clark; daughter Edna Irene "Edie" Clark; brother's Dewey Earl (Corrie) Crawford; Luther Quinton (Lucy) Crawford; John Edward (Gladys) Crawford; and, sister Edna Berniece Chance.Left to treasure her memory are children MD Clark and Ann Cravatt of Pensacola, FL; Jimmy (Ronnie) Clark of Pace, FL; and Wendell (Sue) Clark of NC. Grandchildren: Michelle and Treva Cravatt; Jim (Julie) Clark Jr; John C. (Cindy) Clark; Matt Clark; Mary Clark, Martha (Ernie) Watson; John R. Clark; and, Kathy (Garland) McDaniels. 16 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.

A special thank you to all of the staff of the Health Center of Pensacola and Covenant Hospice for their love and kindness in caring for Agnes. As you all know well, it is greatly appreciated.

Pallbearers are John C. Clark, John R. Clark, Garland McDaniels, Matt Clark, Loren Crawford and Vince McDaniels.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at Eastern Gate Funeral Home 1985 W Nine Mile Rd., Pensacola, FL 32534. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor John Webb, will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 3pm with burial to follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
