With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Allen Campbell, a remarkable man whose journey on this earth concluded at the age of 69. Allen's life was a testament to loyalty, love, and countless cherished moments that will forever live on in the hearts of those privileged to have known him.
Allen's indomitable spirit and zest for life served as a beacon of inspiration to all who had the honor of sharing his company. A true renaissance man, he became an expert at multiple trades, leaving an unfading mark on everything he touched. Allen's education began at Owensville High School and was polished by his passion for engines by graduating from Nashville Auto Diesel College.
For 47 years, Allen was the devoted husband of Sherry, a union characterized by unwavering love and mutual support. Their partnership was a testament to the beauty of shared life, rich in love, and shared experiences.
As a father, Allen's impact was immeasurable. He leaves behind his three children, Michael (Lori) Campbell, Alison (Bill) Knight, and Alex (Julie) Campbell, each a testament to his love. His influence extended beyond fatherhood, as he became a trusted friend, leader, mentor, and source of wisdom.
Allen's pride and joy extended to his four grandchildren, Jackson, Jessie, and Kassie Campbell as well as Gage Brown. His legacy lives on within the hearts of these lives, all remaining in Fort Branch, Indiana where his influences will impact many for years to come.
An avid fan of the Indiana Hoosiers and Bob Knight, Allen's love for Hoosier basketball was a passion that brought him immense joy for decades. His unrelenting support for the Hoosiers was a reflection of his dedication and loyalty.
For over 30 years, Allen managed the service department of Stephan's Inc in Evansville, Indiana that became Stone & Stemle. His leadership and expertise were unparalleled, leaving a permanent mark on the company and those he worked alongside. His dedication and commitment served as an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him professionally.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Allen found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. His passion for Mopar muscle cars, nature, and the strategic game of chess were reflections of his diverse interests and curiosity. He found serenity in the great outdoors, where he could often be found watching nature during every season.
Though Allen's physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit and the imprints of his love and wisdom will continue to guide us through life's challenges. May his memory inspire us to approach each day with the same fervor, passion, and dedication that he embodied.
