He was enlisted in the Army and served faithfully for 18 years. He then went on to work in construction and later became a truck driver.
Al had a beautiful humble soul. He would be the first one to offer assistance with any project you were working on and offer his advice. He enjoyed woodworking and built his bride beautiful kitchen cabinets and a hutch.
He was very adventurous and loved to drive his truck/cars. His happy go lucky attitude was contagious. You couldn’t help but be enlightened around him.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Carl and Eva Schweiger, brothers, Herbert and Nick Schweiger, sister, Diane Dunbar and son-in-law, Billy Harris.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Marilyn, his daughter Cindy, his son, Alvin Jr., of Alabama, 5 grandchildren and several Great grandchildren.
Al’s care is entrusted to Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
