Anne was born in Huntington, West Virginia to Charles Saumuel and Helen Preston Brown. She lived in many different places, but always considered Pensacola home.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her beloved son, Wesley (Jennifer) Todd. She is also survived by her three granddaughters who were the light of her life, Jillian (Brandon) Peterson, Emma (Henrique) Mendes and Whitney Todd.
The role in life that she treasured the most was that of “Nan Nan”.
Holidays were a time of great joy for Anne. She had extravagant holiday decorations that she loved to pull out for every holiday – from the Valentine’s Day to Christmas. Anne loved to bake and was somewhat famous among family and friends for her “Texas Tornado Cake”. She was always in search of the coolest kitchen gadgets and the next great recipe to try. She will be dearly missed.
Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will have a private graveside service on Thursday, March 26, 2026, followed by a burial at Eastern Gate.
