

Barbara Joan Wisniewski, 80, of Tampa passed away surrounded by her loving family in Navarre on Monday, January 27, 2025. She is survived by her children, Joseph J. Wisniewski (Karen) and Jeanette M. Clark (Matt); grandchildren, Catherine, John, James, Chris, David, Christopher, Jeremy, Bryan and Logan; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Lennox, Spencer, Kaylee, Baylee Rose, Sasha and Harper. Barbara is preceded in passing by her husband, John J. Wisniewski; daughter, Sharon J. Breher; and her parents, Rudolph Kaden and Gertrude Groth. Barbara loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them. She was also a lifelong Christian and was continuously devoted to her Lutheran faith.
As a young girl, Barbara attended nursing school at Flushing Hospital and Medical Center in Flushing Long Island, she then after went to Lakeside Hospital. In 1977, Barbara and her family moved to Tampa and continued her career as a nurse before retiring after 60 years; she worked at Women's Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, and Town n Country Hospital. During her career, she studied OB-GYN & Oncology avidly and went on to publish medical journals and lead seminars on the subject. In her free time, Barbara also loved taking trips to Disney World with her family and loved anything Mickey Mouse.
A celebration of life will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home & Garden of Memories in Tampa, FL on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with a graveside service to follow at noon. A reception and gathering will be held immediately after services at the family's residence.
