Brenda Casey

She was reared and educated here in Pensacola, Florida and graduated from Beggs Vocational School. Brenda worked in various fields throughout her life.

Brenda grew up in a large family filled with love, faith and resilience. She was baptized early in life and became a member of The Church of the Living God. She dedicated her life to her family, community, and her faith. Brenda loved all of her family and friends and often told them either in words or through her generosity. She was known for her unwavering kindness, strength of spirit, and the way she touched every life she encountered. Brenda’s love for music filled her home and church.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

Brenda is survived by her beloved husband Hurise Thomas Casey of 42 years; two daughters Selina L. (Kenneth) Jacobs, Tamara C. Moorer; two sons Kadaris C. (Marissa) Casey, Christopher T. Casey; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 sisters 4 brothers, 2 brother in laws, 3 sister in laws, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Brenda was deeply loved and will be genuinely missed. Her memory will live on forever in our hearts.

Services will be held for Brenda on Saturday, March 8th at Oak Lawn Funeral Home; Visitation will be from 11:30am-12:30pm, the Funeral Service will begin at 12:30pm and immediately following her service there will be a procession to Holy Cross Cemetery to lay her to rest. A reception will be held back at the Funeral Home following the Committal.
