1936-2017
Caroline Morgan Maxwell, 81, passed away in Pensacola, Florida on Friday, April 7, 2017. She was born in Charlottesville, Virginia to Calvert Brent and Caroline Morton Morgan on March 13, 1936. She married John Elbert Maxwell, Jr. on November 26, 1966.
Ms. Maxwell graduated from George Washington University and became a life-long civil servant with the U.S. Government, beginning with the FDIC and concluding her career with NADEP at NAS Pensacola.
She loved life, spending time with friends and family, the beach and any history documentary or event. She especially loved to go to local festivals, whether at Cordova Park Elementary or Downtown Pensacola.
Mrs. Maxwell was predeceased by the love of her life, John Elbert Maxwell, Jr. and is survived by her beloved son, John Elbert Maxwell, III; her daughter, Carrie Holmes; her granddaughters Morgan Holmes and Madison Maxwell and other family and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in her name for the Whoosh Challenge.
