Clara L. Wells, age 93, of Pensacola, FL, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 9, 2014. She was born September 3, 1920 in Bay Minette, AL to the late Ruben H. Agerton and Clara Etta Gee Agerton.
Clara worked as a teacher's aide for the Escambia County School System for many years. She was a member of Milestone Church of Christ. She loved crafts which included embroidery work and quilting, but her favorite was sewing.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William D. Wells; a son, Charles M. Wells; and a grandson, Keenan D. Wells; 4 brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara W. (John) Boivin of Pace, FL; her son, Ronald D. (Elaine) Wells of Pensacola; her daughter-in-law, Kathie Wells of Pace, FL; seven grandchildren, Craig D. Wells, Jonathan W. Wells, Adriana Wells, Michelle L. Boivin, Aleisha W. Burridge, Heather Howard and Shelby Wells; three great grandchildren, Nolan Wells, Eli Wells and Macy Wells.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:30 AM at Milestone Church of Christ with Minister Ken Burleson officiating. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens with Craig Wells, Jonathan Wells, Chad Burridge, David Agerton, Ronnie Douglas and Mike Camp serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Homer Thompson, Danny Davis, Charlie Bush, Tommy Crooke and W.C. Rabren. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 AM until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice or the North West Florida School of Biblical Studies. Condolences may be made to the family at www.easterngatememorial.com.
