to David Council Crowe and Dorothy Hall Crowe in Troy, AL on August 18, 1939. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Montgomery where he attended local schools. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School as part of the Class of 1957. After high school, he joined the Army and attended various radio communications schools over his four year stay. Following his stay in the Army, he was a part of the Army Reserve. David was a ham radio operator for many years. His call letters were K4PIU and N4PJS. Over the years David worked for the Dictaphone Corporation, Radio Shack and American Bank Stationery before deciding to open his own business in 1989. He was the owner/operator of The Mail Drop, a postal packing and shipping facility in East Pensacola Heights. He loved his customers and the business owners in the Heights. David was a member of the Olive Baptist Church. He enjoyed his Sunday school class and the close friends that sat with him every Sunday. He also enjoyed his association with the many friends he made as part of the breakfast club at Hardee's on 9th Ave.
David's oldest daughter, Katrina LeAnne, was born in 1970 to he and his wife, Janice (deceased). Katrina has given him two grandchildren, Lara and Mark, both of whom he is very proud.
In 1983, he married Elizabeth McKerlie, and together had one daughter, Cameron Elizabeth born in 1989.
David is predeceased by his parents and sister, Patsy. Surviving David are his wife, Elizabeth, daughters, Katrina & Cameron (both of Pensacola); Grandchildren, Lara & Mark; Brothers, Douglas (MaryNell) of Prosper, TX, and James (Debra.), and several special neices and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice or Baptist Hospital Foundation.
