Tony was as diversified in skill as he was in talent. He could fix anything, build anything, and he always finished what he started. He was an intelligent and hardworking service technician for over 40 years.
More important to him than his talents were his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather. He took this assignment very seriously and his fulfillment of those roles is unmatched. He was not only a father to his own children, but a father figure to many.
Tony’s utmost desire was that anyone he met would know the Lord Jesus on a personal level. That desire and his legacy continues through his family.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sharon; son David (Jennifer) Palmer; son Matt (Kymber) Palmer; daughter Karen (Justin) Trawick; nine grandchildren; mother Ernestine Gartman; brother Greg (Debbie) Palmer; brother Donnie (Michelle) Gartman; sister Susie Sentiff; sister Amy Gartman; and a host of family and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his Pop (Donald Gartman) and his brother (Nape Coley).
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to “The Retreat, Hospice by Saad” and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
