“Mammaw”
1936-2025
Josie Deloris Jenkins, 89 of Pensacola, gained her wings on September 11, 2025. She passed peacefully in her home with her loved ones present. Deloris was born on February 6, 1936 in Beach Mountain, North Carolina. She was a beloved wife, mother, and Mammaw to all. She was a homemaker known for her selfless and servant heart, a true woman of God. Deloris spent over 45 years being a caretaker to over 77 kids not including family. She dedicated her life to caring for others, and following the Lord’s word. She left a long lasting impression on every soul she met. Although our hearts are truly broken because we have lost the true heart and anchor of our family, we are overwhelmed with the amount of peace we have knowing our beautiful Mammaw has joined Papaw and Jesus in heaven, and we know she is forever with us. Deloris was also a member of Circle Baptist Church/New Beginnings for 51 years.
Deloris was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Blaine Jenkins, her parents , James and Viola Potter, one brother, Jay Potter, 4 sisters, Helen Triviett, Mae Owen, Gertrude Shook, and Sue McCurry.
