SANDERS
1942 - 2012
Dewey Ronald Sanders, 69, passed away in his home on Garcon Point in Milton, FL on March 11, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Warrior, Alabama, on June 5, 1942.
Surviving Mr. Sanders "Ron" is his wife of 43 years Mrs. Dorothy M. Sanders; 4 children, Jeff (Leigh) Sanders, Melia Sanders Allen, Dinah Veazey and David (Monika) Veazey; a sister, also of Milton, Florida, Ms. Carol Sanders Nobles; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sanders, more fondly known by friends and family as "Big Ron", was in the Mobile Home business for more than 35 years and owned and operated Sanders Manufactured Housing, Inc., in Pensacola since 1985. An avid race car and sports fan, Big Ron sponsored several cars at Five Flags Speedway and numerous local ball teams. He enjoyed deep sea fishing as well as traveling to his favorite destination on the Gulf Coast, Biloxi, Mississippi, for many a round on the baccarat tables with friends! So it is fitting that friends and family remember Big Ron's final roll of the dice in this wonderful celebration of life with a final heartfelt "Cheers, Big Ron, you were truly one of a kind!"
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13th from 7-9 pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with the funeral following on Wednesday, March 14th at 1 pm at the chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, FL.
