

Donald Ray Holland, 87, of Pensacola, FL went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2015. He was born to the late Thurl Otto and Alma (nee Boice) Holland April 6, 1927 in West Virginia. He joined the U.S. Navy at the young age of 17, serving honorably and proudly during WWII. Don graduated from Marietta College and West Virginia University before beginning a life-long career with American Cyanamid. After years of traveling the world, Don and his beloved wife Mary found their perfect home in Pensacola. Don donated many long hours to local charities over the years including the 4-H Club and the Mother Seton Guild. He also enjoyed spending time on the local golf courses and building ship models from his own plans. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alma White, brothers, Robert and John Holland, and his loving wife, Mary Williams Holland. He is survived by his three loving daughters, Pamela (Mark) Holland Harnett, Stephanie (Todd) Holland Douglas, and Caroline Holland; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Harnett and Katie Douglas; and two grandsons, David Harnett and Destin Douglas. Family will receive friends, on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, Funeral Service will be begin at 1:00 PM and his final rest will follow at Bayview Memorial Gardens.
