Doris was a very proud Veteran and was never afraid to speak her mind.  We both enjoyed eachothers  company in long talks, special tea socials and lunches in the mess hall at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport.  She was a strong, diligent woman and I have been proud to call her friend.  She always called me Kimmy!!!
I will miss you terribly 💜

Some of my fondest memories  are of all of us at Wolf Bay. Aunt Doris was a wonderful hostess. She was a fabulous cook. The day was always full of fun and laughter.   The food was always delicious and served with care and love. 
     Though our hearts break that she is gone, we know that she is no longer in pain. She is now with all of her loved ones that went on before her.   She lived her life with zest and love. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.   Heaven has just received another beautiful angel.
