Born February 18, 1920 in N. Abington, Mass., a daughter of the late Earle S. and Eleanor (Corbitt) Damon.
She had eleven brothers and sisters, who all preceded her in death.
In June of 1945, she married Roger F. Sampson, who preceded her death. She retired in 1990 after a long career in the accounting profession. After a long courtship she married on October 21, 1990 the love of her life, Jerald C. Graham “Red”. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1991.
Doris is survived by her son, Jeff F. Platts; daughters, Pamela J. Ellis; and daughter-in-law, Jeannie W. Platts.
As per her request, she will be cremated and a family service with inurnment will take place at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola at a later date.
We are having a Celebration of Doris’ Life on Sunday, November 09, 2014 from 3pm until 5pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The family welcomes all that wish to attend.
