DORIS LEE MARTIN, 90 of Cantonment passed away March 12, 2015. She was the daughter of Frank and Allie Wise of Jay. She graduated from Jay High School and worked at several jobs including the Warrington Bank where she met the love of her life. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph D. Martin, a daughter Barbara Ann Smith and 2 brothers Ray and Aubrey Wise.
She is survived by a daughter Carol Rudd and her children Jeff (Kathy) and Michelle of Pensacola and Robb (Sally) of Panama City Beach; a son James Martin, Sr. and his children James Jr., Joseph (Emma) of Pensacola and Jonathan (Denise) of Dallas, TX, one sister Ruth Stewart of Pensacola and 8 great grandchildren. Also, 3 special friends, Nita Welport, Shirley Smith and Carol Bilon.
Flowers will be accepted or donations to Milestone Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 16th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home 1985 W. Nine Mile Rd. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17th at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
