

Doris Shubert was born on Feb 17, 1925 in Geneva County, AL, to Sebe Emmet Wood and Frances Elizabeth Nobles Wood. Doris passed away peacefully at Sunrise Senior Living, Richmond, VA, on Wed, Jan 20, 2016 after suffering a stroke.
Doris was a long time resident of Pensacola, a charter member of Burgess Road Baptist Church, and retired from Monsanto. In recent years, she moved near to family who could care for her. Though unable to attend in person, she enjoyed listening to the Burgess Rd services over the internet.
She is survived by her children Carole Louie, Mark (Abigail Stewart) Louie, and Florence Louie (Bob Froelich) Bass; 3 granddaughters Trystan Laura (Thomas Dowrie) Bass, Maggie Louie, and Jennie (David) Kazzie; and 4 great grandchildren: Alex Louie Henson, Cole Louie Zaslove, Jake William Kazzie, and Marisa Claire Kazzie
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Shubert, Sr. and her siblings: Jemima Nina Wood McLeod, Wilmer Dawkin Wood, Charles Dalton Wood, Noble Hazen Wood, and Olen Ray Wood.
Visitation & funeral services will be held at Burgess Rd Baptist Church, 250 W Burgess Rd; Pensacola, FL, beginning at 10 AM Wed, Jan 27. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
