Doris O Warthen

Doris O. Gulley Warthen, age 85, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Wednesday January 25, 2017. The family will be receiving friends at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. A chapel service will be held at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. Mrs. Warthen was born in Fordyce, Arkansas and lived most of her life in Pensacola. Doris was a longtime employee and retired from Walmart in Pensacola. She was also an active member of the Eastern Star Chapter and Daughters of the Nile.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Willie Warthen and her grandson Joshua Templeman.

She is survived by her three daughters,: Betty Shambley and husband David of Pensacola, FL; Brenda Templeman and husband Kevin, of Pensacola, FL; Carol Shelton and husband Fredrick of Viera, FL; her son: Samuel Gulley, and girlfriend, Brenda Ballard of Pensacola; her step-daughter: Carol Gulley Fast and husband Al, of Minneapolis, MN; her very special brother-in-law, Harold Flowers, and wife, Ann; her three sisters: Carolyn Mitchell, Gail Parkton and Linda Stewart; four grandchildren: Brian Judah, Alicia Gulley, Christina Shelton and Jackie Templeman; two great-grandchildren: Dylan Goins and Skyla Goins; a host of nieces and nephews.
