Edward Moseley received his angel wings on Wednesday, January 20, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Edward was a kindhearted man who lived a life of service. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1953 and proudly served his country. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work to the Naval Aviation Depot (NADEP) at Pensacola Naval Air Station, where he later retired. Edward also gave back to his community by volunteering at soup kitchens, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Family was Edward’s heart. Some of his favorite pastimes included fishing with his sons and hosting a mighty fine fish fry afterward. He also greatly enjoyed square dancing with his beloved wife, Barbara.
Edward is survived by his beautiful wife, Barbara Moseley; his sons, Johnny Moseley, Donald (Ray) Moseley, and Lee Moseley; as well as his many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Moseley and Verna Mae Owens; his siblings, Lena Mae Moseley Edwards, Coy Moseley, Woodrow Moseley, Billy Moseley and LV Moseley; his son, William “Big Bill” Moseley; and his daughter, Kimberly (Moseley) Cartwright.
Funeral services will be held on January 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, followed by a committal service at Bayview Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by his grandson-in-law, Pastor Mike Padgett.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in Edward’s honor to the charity of their choice.
Edward will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His life was a reflection of faith, service, and compassion, and his legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends as they rejoice in the promise of eternal
