 There is a temple with a poem called “loss”  carved into a stone it has three words but the poet has scratch them out you cannot read loss only feel it.  It is loss which teaches us about the worth of things.  My heart breaks for you all.  I know what it’s like to lose a father and mother.  It sucks.  But the thought of him being with Janet again made me smile for him.   I know for certain that we never truly lose the people we love, even to death.  They will continue to participate in every act, thought, and decision we make.  Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.  We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.  Ed and Janet loved to cruise.  I ran across a poem that made me think of you all.  It is called “Dwarves in the stable”. By Frederick Buechner called the ship. It reminded me that while we are sad to say goodbye Janet is on the other side happily greeting him

Ed and I met three years ago on a cruise to Bermuda.  We had both recently lost our spouses of 46 years and even had the same wedding anniversary.  It didn’t take long to realize that it was something special.  We have had.so much fun traveling and just being together.  He was such a good person and I wish we had more time.  I love and miss him.
