Edye graduated from Century High School and attended Pensacola Junior College. Edye had a deep love for so many people and animals in her life. Her love of Ed Horne, her husband of 42 years, was special. Edye was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend throughout her life. She loved and cared for her King Charles Cavaliers – Chase and then Jackson so much as well as her and Ed’s Appaloosas. For years she was secretary of the Appaloosa Pleasure Horse Association. Her love of others shone in a quote she recently shared, “The noblest art is that of making others happy” – PT Barnum. Edye retired from Monsanto in Gonzalez, Florida, after over 30 years of service to Chemstrand/Monsanto, where she worked in several roles, with the last being in human resource’s administration. Edye loved sports. While in both high school and working at Monsanto she played multiple sports. She also coached young girls’ basketball during her employment at Monsanto. She also enjoyed working as a home interiors displayer, for which she was a top sales person for numerous years.
