Ernestine K. Franks

Ernestine Kealer Franks passed away peacefully on December 16, 2016. She was a native of Pensacola and graduated in 1939 from Pensacola High School. She was one of the founding members of the LaCasina Club at PHS. She attended and graduated with a B.S. Degree from Bowling Green Business University, Bowling Green Kentucky, in 1943. She returned to Pensacola after graduation and began her career working for GMAC in their Accounting Department. She then spent the next 20 years as a Cost Accounting Supervisor at Pensacola Naval Air Station. She and her husband also started a business in real estate investing and property development throughout the Pensacola area.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles E. Kealer, her father, Charles E. Kealer Sr., her mother Katherine M. Kealer, and her beloved husband Charles W. Franks. She is survived by her three sons, Charles W. Franks II (Brian D. Chamberlain), Marshall K. Franks and Douglas L. Franks. She enjoyed gardening, and traveling, especially taking numerous trips abroad. She loved her dogs Sheba and Shorty. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church.

Services will be at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church at 12:00p.m Wednesday December 21, 2016. With the Reverend Susan Soner officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00p.m to 7:00p.m Tuesday night at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
