George William Grimm, 83, of Monroeville, Alabama, died Thursday, January 17, 2013.
George was born June 19, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Nix Leo Grimm and Stella Copple Grimm. He was an Airman in the U. S. Navy retiring after 30 years of service. George was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church in Monroeville, AL.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Grimm and daughter, Georgina Grimm.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Grimm of Monroeville, AL; son, Gary Grimm of Pensacola; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the William F. Green Veteran’s Home, 300 Faulkner Drive, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
