

Geraldine “Gerry” McRee Wilson died on Monday, February 9, 2015 in McDonough, Georgia. She was a native of Atlanta, Georgia, but had resided in Pensacola, Florida for 55 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Dr. John B. Coker who she was married to for 35 years and later Bill Wilson. Also preceding her in death are her son, John Frederick Coker; father, Frederick Warren McRee and mother, Belle Peeler McRee.
She is survived by her son, Barry McRee Coker (Libby); daughter, Lee Anne Burroughs (John); her beloved granddaughters, Caroline Lee Burroughs and Emilee Anne Burroughs; and a brother Fred W. McRee of Dahlonega, Georgia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Gerry was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, she was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and has served on the board of the Escambia Woman's Home and was a substitute teacher for 19 years in Escambia County.
She enjoyed painting, reading and visiting her daughter and granddaughters in Hampton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Rev. Laura Weant officiating. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 2203 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32503.
