Glenn Gary Darling, 68, passed away on Feb. 23, 2011 in Pensacola, Fl. He was raised in Steele, ND and moved to Mariposa, CA, where he joined the U.S. Navy. There he served aboard the USS Tycondaroga and then transferred to the USS Lexington, arriving in Pensacola in 1962. He joined the Pensacola Police Dept. in 1965 and was a loyal and dedicated servant of his community for 33 years. He retired from the police force as a Senior Lieutenant in 1997. Glenn loved his career, country and his family passionately. In 1998, Glenn moved to the community of Gonzalez, where he enjoyed tending to his yard, playing with his grandchildren and RVing in his motorcoach with his wife. Survivors include his wife; Jean of 43 years, his children, Glenn, Mark (Jennifer McCann), Laura (Todd) Darling-Morris and grandchildren, Parker Greenlee and Ruby Darling. Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb.28 from 12:30 pm till 2:00 pm. There will be service at 2:00 pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bayview Memorial Gardens.
