Helen J. Batson

1927-2019

Helen J. Batson, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019, after a battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Batson and son, Ty Kenner. She is survived by three daughters: Susan Keller, Beverly Prettyman and Sheila McKinney; two sons: Tony and John Batson and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.

Helen was a member of the Ensley United Methodist Church, Shimron Temple, #133, Daughters of the Nile, along with the Red Hats and the Rovin’ Elks RV Club.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, immediately followed by a service, with the Daughters of the Nile and Rev. Jesse Evans officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hadji Children Transportation Fund would be appreciated.
