Helen E. Brock, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on July 13, 1937, in Ruleville, Mississippi, the daughter of Thomas A. Ely and Sara Katherine Kelly Ely.
On March 12, 1982, Helen married Floyd A. Brock. Together they shared many years — full of laughter, hard work, and the simple joys of home and family.
Helen was known for her cooking, no one ever left her table hungry, and for keeping her home shining from top to bottom. Those who knew her will remember her not just for what she did, but for how she made them feel, cared for, and loved.
Helen is survived by her husband, Floyd A. Brock, children: Lewis S. Forester III, Edsel F. Brock, Belenda Alexander, Donna Brock Conner and Rene Forester Wiser. She leaves behind five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Helen was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas E. Ely, Clifford G. Ely and Mary Ely Brady, son Danny M. Brock and granddaughter Cheryl L. Alexander.
A service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel & Bayview Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32503 with visitation beginning at 1:00PM followed by the service at 2:00PM. Memorial donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, whose compassionate care meant so much to Helen and her family. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and remember Helen.
