Ivan Harris Jr.

February 15, 1925 - July 28, 2012

Ivan Harris, Jr., 87, passed away on July 28, 2012. He was a Pensacola native.

Ivan served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater as a Combat Military Police. He later retired from the Naval Aviation Depot at Pensacola Naval Air Station. He was a member of the Episcopal Christ Church and a Troop 5 Boy Scout Leader and Explorer Scout Leader for many years where he received the Silver Beaver Award and became a member of the Order of the Arrow.

Ivan was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Stolfi Harris; parents, Laura and Ivan Harris; brother, Glen Harris and stepson, Michael S. Stolfi.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Harris; sister, Hilda Hertz; stepdaughters, Lucy A. Stolfi, Patricia M. Stolfi, Anita V. Stolfi (Dalyn Dunn); stepson, Marco Stolfi (Jamie Cochran); step grandchildren, Stephanie Mondello, Vincent Mondello, Mike Stolfi (Margo), Carly Stolfi McCorvey (Neal), Natalie Shearlock (David), Margaret Stolfi, Joseph Stolfi, Ahna Stolfi, Maria Stolfi; step great grandchildren, LaTerel McCorvey, Antonio McCorvey, Kahleil McCorvey, Cora Stolfi; nieces, Gina Hertz (Ingo Starke), Terry MacGraw (Glen); and numerous step nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Haven of Our Lady of Peace, Boy Scouts of America and/or Episcopal Christ Church.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.

Graveside burial service will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Bayview Memorial Park.
