is no longer hurting, he is no longer suffering and struggling. He is at home. He is at peace.
When you remember Jacob, I pray you will reflect on his wit and charisma, reflect on the hilarious pranks and funny moments that you shared with him. Jacob was a father, son, brother, and friend. It is impossible to capture a person in an obituary, especially someone whose adult life was largely defined by addiction. To some, Jacob was just a junkie — when they saw his addiction, they stopped seeing him. And what a loss for them. Because Jacob was hilarious and warm, he had the biggest heart, and he was bursting with confidence and resilience. Jacob will be loved and remembered as the amazing and funny guy he use to be. We mourn the life he was never able to live and we are filled with praise and joy knowing he is finally fulfilling his purpose in heaven. Jacob was saved when he was 10 years old and Baptized at Hammond First Baptist Church, where he is a member.
Jacob is preceded in death by his brother, Russell Carl Bankston II, his grandparents Phillip and Lola Bankston, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Henry Ladshaw.
