He had a 26 year career in the US Air Force as an aircraft and missile mechanic, First Sergeant and finally as Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Wing Commander, retiring in 1979 at Travis AFB, CA.
He met and married his wife of 59 years, Alice (French) here in Pensacola. Together they had one child, Cheri who is married to Frank Miyagawa. Jim was most proud of and loved his only grandchild Jamie Miyagawa.
The family would like to add a special thanks to Dr. Ibrahim and the staff at Ciano Cancer Center of the Baptist Cancer Institute in Gulf Breeze for their care and compassion over these last 5 months.
Visitation will start at 11:30 am, Tuesday November 8th with services beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel in Pensacola. Interement will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Barrancas National Cemetery.
