Jo Marie Stephen

Mrs. Jo Marie Stephen, 67, went home to the Lord on March 27, 2026. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, in September 1958 to Marvin and Eloise, who preceded her in death. She was the youngest of four children and is survived by her siblings: Ron, Randy, and Jenelle.

In 1981, she married the love of her life, Marc, and, as a devoted military spouse, built a life with him through years of military service and many moves across the country. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Holly and Elissa, and her four grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Jo will be lovingly remembered for her deep faith in Jesus Christ, her servant’s heart, and her fondness for cats—both her own and the many neighborhood cats she cared for through the years. In every season of life, she found ways to serve the people around her. Whether tending the rhododendron bushes at her husband’s Air Force squadron, volunteering nearly every day in her daughters’ elementary school library, helping at countless high school marching band events, or packing meal backpacks for schoolchildren with her church family, Jo always found ways to serve and support the people she loved.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Northridge Church, 2075 E. Nine Mile Rd., Pensacola, FL 32514. Public viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. In keeping with Jo’s wishes, guests are invited to wear jeans or other casual attire.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Pensacola Foster Kittens in honor of Jo’s love for cats. Donations may also be made to Coastal Cat Café, which partners with Pensacola Foster Kittens to help rescue cats find loving homes.
