Loving husband and father, Joe Allen Turberville, passed away on Sunday, January 18th at the age of 76. He served in the US Air Force before marrying the love of his life, Linda, in 1959. Growing together they had 3 children, Dee (Bryant), Sandra and Mike. Joe retired from Armstrong World Industries after 37 years of service as a supervisor. He was well known as a prankster and had a great sense of humor at others' expense. After a short retirement he worked for MED3000 as a resident get it done man. He enjoyed spending time on the river, enjoying family and being a greeter in his church. He was quick to welcome others with the offer of a "holy kiss". Joe is preceded in death by his parents and his sister. He is survived by his wife, Linda, and children, Dee (Bryant), Sandra and Mike, grandchildren, Roxiane Harvill, Blake Cicheskie and Savannah. He will be missed by family and remembered for always putting others first and making home a happy, inviting place. Visitation will be held at Heritage Baptist Church on Hwy 297A from 11 AM - 1:30 PM on Friday, January 23rd, with services to start at 2 PM. Interment to follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
